@anastasiiam21, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for the clear photo — you're using an HP LaserJet M110w and seeing "Printer Cannot Print" in the HP Smart app, despite changing cartridges, reconnecting to Wi-Fi, and restarting. Let's go step by step to rule out both common and sneaky causes:
Likely Causes and Fixes
HP+ Activation or Requirement Glitch
Since this is an HP+ model (indicated by the HP+ icon), it requires an internet connection and HP account login to function. If the printer can’t validate with HP servers, it might stop printing.Fix:
- Open HP Smart Web and log into your HP account.
- Ensure your printer is added and showing as active there.
- Try logging out of HP Smart and logging back in.
- Make sure firmware updates are completed.
Firmware Lock Due to HP+ or Subscription
If the printer was previously enrolled in HP+ or a toner subscription, and HP couldn’t verify payment or toner validity, it may lock functionality.
Fix:
- Confirm Instant Ink or toner subscription status is active:
- Click “View Dashboard” under Instant Ink in the HP Smart app.
- Check for any alerts about toner validity or subscription issues.
Supply Memory Error / Chip Authentication Issue
Sometimes the printer doesn't recognize the toner due to chip errors (even with valid HP toners).
Fix:
- Power off the printer.
- Remove the toner cartridge and gently clean the chip contact points with a lint-free cloth.
- Reinsert the cartridge and power back on.
- If it still fails, try reinstalling the toner while the printer is on.
Network Conflicts or Offline Status
Even if connected to Wi-Fi, the printer might not be fully online to HP services.Fix:
- In the HP Smart app, go to Printer Settings > Network Information.
- Ensure the IP address is valid and the status is “Connected”.
- You can try assigning a static IP to prevent conflicts.
Factory Reset
As a last resort, a full reset may resolve software conflicts.
Steps to Reset HP LaserJet M110w:
- Turn off the printer.
- Hold the Wireless button and the Cancel (X) button together.
- While holding them, turn the printer back on.
- Keep holding until the attention LED blinks — then release.
Note: This will remove Wi-Fi and HP account info, requiring re-setup.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
