the paper fits in the tray but how do i force it to print while the paper size is different?

and when i cut the F4 paper into a sheet of A4 paper it cant print it

HP Recommended

Please clarify, does it try to print but not feed at all or does it jam part way through printing. Maybe your F4 media is the problem. It could be too heavy or slippery. A better description of the type of jam would be useful.

True - @Repairatrooper makes a good point.

F4 paper is not supported due to size.

Your F4 paper, cut to size A4 might not be supported because the paper type / weight is not supported.

Paper Support parameters include - Size, Type, Weight.

Yes, add "Print Surface" to the list, too.

Regardless, there is no way to "force" the printer to do what it will not do.

I am sure it is frustrating.

If the printer thinks it is in a Paper Jam condition, it won't print.

Read solutions here:

 E4 (Paper jam) error

Comments

If you have to push the paper into the printer, the individual sheet of paper is not supported.

You cannot get around this --

If the paper is not supported

and / OR

The paper does not feed by itself, bad things will probably happen.

The weight of the stack of paper is a little bit important - read the specifications document

Input capacity
Up to 60 sheets
Standard input capacity (cards)
Up to 20 cards
Output capacity
Up to 25 sheets

The weight of the individual pieces of paper is very important.

Use different paper - Use paper that is supported for

Size

Type

Print Surface

Weight

If you use supported paper (that is truly supported),

If the full driver printer software is installed and working,

The paper type can usually be adjusted to eliminate a  paper mis-match condition.

If I have any other suggestions, I will edit this message or post back.

I didnt count how many sheets of paper but i think its not too much but hp smart says “no paper”while printing but there is paper and i press the cancel button and then the paper comes out ,

and when I print again it says it have a paper jam and then i press the resume button or the cancel button the paper comes out easily without tearing the paper
