Microsoft Windows 11

Hi. I have a problem since I upgrade the firmware with my HP cartridges when I refill them they are no longer recognized and the printer doesn't print, the problem solves immediatelly when I replace with a new one. I should be able to refill my cartridges. I have followed an instruction here in the community and I got the codes of my printer. Please tell me where I send them in order to get the codes to reset. Thank you.

I forgot to say that my printer is HP Deskjet 2700e All in one printer, the cartridge number is 305 black (I don't use color cartridge) and I am from Portugal. My printer is HP registered and and is within warranty.

Have you previously refill ink cartridges on your printer ?

When you refill ink the printer doesn't know that and still reads old empty level that is stored in the cartridge chip.

VALSIMOT, my previous HP printers were HP inkjets too, but they weren't from the "e" series, which I assume has to do with instant ink, which I've never subscribed. I've always filled the HP ink cartridges, all my life, and only replaced them with new ones when the printing starts to show bad quality. The ink cartridges always appeared on the printer's panel as being empty, but the orange light and E0 never flashed incessantly, preventing me from printing, like it has been happening since I upgrade the firmware. It prints the test page fine, but nothing else, so I know there is no problem with the printer nor the cartridge. I eventually managed to get the light to stop flashing after trying hundreds of tests, but it didn't change anything, the documents are still stuck in the spool and the error is that the printer is in a busy state and therefore the printer doesn't print. I've tried every solution in the world, you can't even imagine how many times I uninstalled and installed the drivers and the printer, old drivers, updated drivers, universal drivers, old software, reset printer in a thousand and one ways, I even did a more than 30-minute cleanup of the registry, nothing works. The only thing that works is when I install a new ink cartridge. Taking into account that when the new ink cartridge runs out and I fill it up and manage to print a few pages and then the problem appears again, I can only conclude that the printer is programmed to block the ink cartridges when they print a certain number of pages. Since the problem started, about 3 months ago, I've already bought 5 ink cartridges. Before this problem happened I had been using the same ink cartridge for over 6 months and they used to last perfectly for at least 1 year.

Translation:

"Please note that this printer is designed to work only with cartridges that have a new or reused HP chip or circuit and uses dynamic security measures to block cartridges that use a non-HP chip or circuit. Periodic firmware updates will keep these measures effective and will block previously working cartridges. A reused HP chip or circuit allows the use of reused, recycled and refilled cartridges."

- in my attempts to solve the problem I took several screenshots.

The reality is that the printer is blocking my refilled HP cartridges and I am fed up. HP needs to solve this problem by giving me the codes to erase at least this last cartridge which is not even being recognized, but I can prove it is HP with a purchase receipt.

Run a firmware downgrade to earlier version and your printer will work just fine like it did before 3 months ago.

For HP staff:

I found in my computer, among other strange things, a file named my printer's serial number with the extension .ini (for instance CN33DD2585.ini) that contains the following:

What "InstanInk_DisabledByAdmin=false" mean?

I interpret this line as meaning that instant ink is ENABLE. How can this be if I never subscribed instant ink? For me this is what is blocking my cartridges, as it is no coincidence that the cartridges block after printing a certain number of pages. And don't say that it is because the cartridge protection is ON because it is not, I have had it OFF since I realized it was ON and since then I have inserted at least 3 new cartridges and they all still get blocked when I refill them. Please tell me how to set this line to TRUE and by the way what do all the other lines marked as TRUE mean.
