I have a printer HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 and Ive been trying to print paychecks or even try to do quick pays and the printer does not print the check correctly. The printer is not printing aligned, I've tried to setup the alignment and still having the same problem. When I try to pay and print the check the numbers is not filing the correct blanks on the check.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

To which device is your Printer connected to? Are you trying to print checks for the first time or you've done this before on this Printer?

 

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

 

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.

 

Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16
