I was recently able to print remotely from my laptop. But I can't now. So I tried hard wiring from the laptop to the back of the HP Envy 5540 printer but still can't print. Solution to being able to print while hard wired? We will start there.
Thank you.

To diagnose this issue, try to copy a document. If copy works fine, this may a software issue.
To fix this issue, uninstall and reinstall the printer driver.
Use the method below to remove all existing print drivers installed on your PC:
1.) In Windows, search for and open Apps & features.
2.) Select your HP Printer

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
