Hi all,
Recently installed Windows 10 Pro 64 bit on our server. It works as print server. Printer is attached by USB cable. Installed HP6100 drivers. Printing process job is done on the clients. When printing via the network, yellow turns out to be magenta. Cyan is dark blue.
What's wrong here?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,

I understand that you are facing a print quality issue.
No worries, I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Are you using genuine HP ink cartridge?
Is copy working in color?
This may occur when one of the ink cartridges are low on ink. To check them, perform the following steps:
-
Check the estimated ink levels by performing the following steps:
-
In the HP Director software, click Settings, click Print Settings and then click Printer Toolbox.
-
In the Printer Toolbox, select the Estimated Ink Level tab. If one or more of the colors of ink are low or empty, replace the cartridge.
NOTE:
The ink levels indicated are "estimated" levels and are calibrated to the HP 56 and 57 cartridges. The actual ink left in the ink cartridge may be less.

Open the printer properties and verify that the settings have not been changed. Follow the steps below to check the settings:
-
In the software program you are printing from, click File and then click Print.
-
Click the option to change the print properties (usually Properties or Settings).
-
On the Quality tab, click Factory Settings, then click HP Digital Photography.
-
On the HP Digital Photography Options tab, click Factory Settings, and then click OK.
-
Verify that the Paper Type setting matches the paper loaded in the paper tray.
-
Click the Color tab.
-
On the Color tab, click Factory Settings and then click OK to close the properties.
-
Print again to see if the colors are correct.
-
-
Assign a color management profile to the all-in-one. To do this, follow the steps below:
-
Click Start, click Settings, and then click Printers (in Windows XP, click Start, then click Printers and Faxes) to open the Printers folder.
-
In the Printers folder, right-click the HP all-in-one printer icon and then click Properties.
-
Click the Color Management tab.
-
Click Add to see the list of available color profiles.
-
In the Add Profile Association box, select Diamond Compatible 9300k G2.2.icm.
-
Click Add and then click OK. Print the file again. If the application you are printing from does not print in color, use Microsoft Paint to print a document containing colors.
-
Try printing again and see if the colors are better.
-
-
If the colors are only slightly off, adjust the print properties. Adjust the settings on the Quality tab by clicking HP Digital Photography on the Color tab to affect how the colors are printed.
-
When printing on some photo papers, black ink can have greenish tint when photo paper is selected as the paper type. Try changing the paper type setting to HP bright white paper or Plain paper.
-
Perform the steps listed in the Help files to clean the print cartridges. To locate the Help files, follow the steps below:
-
Open the HP Director software and click Help.
-
On the Contents tab, click the listing for your all-in-one.
-
Click Maintain your HP PSC or Officejet.
-
Click Work with Print Cartridges.
-
Click Clean the Print Cartridge Contacts.
-
-
Some programs or files may not work correctly with the HP print driver.
If the problem still exists using the alternate driver, the problem is with the file being printed or the program being printed from.

Thanks.
Ofcourse I use the original HP magenta cartridge called 933 XL magenta. Since I replaced this cartridge, everything turns out magenta. Yellow turns out magenta, cyan turns out dark blue. A picture prints out with a magenta haze. I replaced the magenta cartridge with another original HP magenta cartridge but this did not make a difference. I think the printer needs a facory reset.
This is all independent fromn which pc I print, the printer is now used by cat5 cable. Rendering print jobs is done on the client pc's, which all have W7 Pro 64b.
