Hi,
I´ve noticed my printer tries to reach the internet (e.g., Amazon AWS IP 18.232.229.96) on port 9930 UDP but I cannot find any information anywhere in the HP website on what this communication is for.
Has anyone seen this or know what this is used for?
Thanks

@vgator, Welcome to HP Support Community!
The printer could be connecting with the HP Web Services which will check for auto-updates available for the printer if any.
It is possible that HP web services/HP cloud is hosted on AWS.
I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!

Hi,
Thank you for your thoughts, I was thinking the same, that this couold be related to HP WebServices, thing is, I have WebServices disabled, if it was that why would it need to reach out to AWS?
I cannot see any oficial documentation from HP making reference to that por either.
Thanks,
Vlad
