my printer works fine with iOS for iphone and ipad but gives me diverse error messages ( not available, blocked check printer etc) when trying to use Android devices ( Pixel 6 and Samsung tablet). I have gone through all steps suggested by hp support and other websites. While until September 2023 these were rare events now it has become all but impossible to print from these devices and even the printer’s screen turns blue after these attempts displaying error B3778EE9. Has anyone experienced similar problems?

Hi @Woruf,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I can offer some general troubleshooting steps that might help resolve printing issues with Android devices.
Check Printer Connectivity:
- Ensure that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android device.
- Verify that the printer is turned on and has no connectivity issues.
Update Firmware and Drivers:
- Check for firmware updates for your HP printer on the HP support website.
- Make sure that your Android device has the latest HP printer app and drivers installed.
Restart Devices:
- Power off both the printer and your Android device, then turn them back on.
Printer App Settings:
- In the HP printer app on your Android device, check the settings to ensure the correct printer is selected.
- Clear the print queue on your Android device.
Reinstall Printer App:
- Uninstall the HP printer app from your Android device and reinstall it from the Google Play Store.
Network Issues:
- Ensure that there are no network issues that could be affecting communication between the Android device and the printer.
Firewall/Antivirus Settings:
- Check if any firewall or antivirus settings on your Android device are blocking the communication with the printer.
Factory Reset:
- If all else fails, you may consider performing a factory reset on your HP printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Dear Alden4,
thank you for your posting. I have tried all of the suggestions you made but to no avail. The printing seems to work sporadically now but I wonder how long it will last.
Sometimes I get the feeling that it is an issue related to Android updates not matched by hp app status as Apple products show no problems at all.
thank very much anyway for your effort to help.
kind regards
Woruf
