HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer

Just got my printer a couple months ago and worked fine. Now it’s popping up with an error code: CD.1C.20.0B. Ever since the error popped up the only option I can do is restart the printer but I’ve done that and unplugged the power source and nothing it’s still displaying error. How can I fix this problem?

Hi @Piper29,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code CD.1C.20.0B on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer typically indicates a hardware issue, often related to the printer's internal components. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

Power Cycle the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer.
  5. Turn the printer back on.

Check for Paper Jams

  • Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams or obstructions in the paper path. Remove any stuck paper carefully.

Inspect Ink Cartridges

  • Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed. Remove the cartridges and reinsert them to ensure a secure connection.
  • Check for any protective tape that might still be on the cartridges.

Reset the Printer to Factory Settings

  1. On the printer control panel, tap Setup.
  2. Navigate to Printer Maintenance or Tools.
  3. Look for an option to Restore Factory Defaults.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset.

Update Firmware

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date:
    1. Connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
    2. Go to HP Smart App on your computer or mobile device.
    3. Check for firmware updates and install if available.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
