Product: HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer

I recently received error code OXB88A5FCO on my HP 3830 inkjet printer. When I get this code I have tried rebooting the printer and get the Improper Shutdown message and hit ok. Sometimes this resolves my issue temporarily but the code keeps coming back.

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

I understand that you are getting an OXB88A5FCO error, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
