I installed two new hp 67XL ink cartridges in my hp envy 6055e printer.  The E0 light stays on and printer won't work.

@Zkpb, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

The E0 error light on your HP Envy 6055e printer typically indicates an issue with ink cartridge alignment or recognition. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Recheck Cartridge Installation:

  • Make sure that the cartridges are properly seated in their slots. Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges to ensure they are installed correctly.

Clean the Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it, and open the access door to remove both cartridges.
  • Using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water, gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges and in the printer. Allow them to dry completely before reinserting the cartridges.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn the printer off and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about one minute and then plug it back in. Turn on the printer and observe if the E0 error persists.

Check for New Cartridge Packaging:

  • Ensure you have removed all transparent tapes from the new ink cartridges, as they can prevent the printer from recognizing them correctly.

Align the Printer:

  • If an Alignment Page was not printed, you may manually start the alignment process using the HP Smart app or the printer software on your computer.

Try Different Cartridges:

  • If available, try using another set of cartridges to determine if the issue lies with the initial set.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
