Officejet Pro 8600

I bought generic ink cartridges for my HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer (trying to save money) and placed two of them in my printer and receiced an error message (the cartridges are damaged) so I took them out and bought HP ink cartridges and placed them in my printer, one of the error messages went away but one still remains and I don't know what to do. I tried turning off the printer and that did not work, I tried unplugging the printer and that did not work. I need help.

here is how to do a cold reset

  1. Turn OFF your printer.
  2. Wait for 10 Seconds before turning it ON again.
  3. Just as the printer turns ON, press the back button (arrow icon) on the front panel of the printer “4 times”.
  4. If you did it correctly, the support menu should appear.
