Hi, my printer is showing the error message 'there is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn off, then on. If problem persists contact hp' and I was wondering if anyone has any advice to solve it. It may be something to do with the inks as the yellow print cartridge on my printer ran out a few weeks ago and we've been printing using the black ink only. In the past few days the printer has refused to print on black only and said i needed to replace the yellow which i finally got round to doing. However now it's just showing the error message above. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's try to reset the Printer here:
Reset the product
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.
Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16
