Let's try restoring the printer to the original factory defaults
1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).
2. Touch Printer Maintenance .
3. Touch Restore.
4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.
5. Touch Continue.
If the issue persists, we will try the Semi-Full Reset.
Since these are crucial steps, I will send you a Private Message with the instructions
Please check your private message icon in the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile.
Next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it
Thank you 🙂

I have had my HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 for a couple of years now. All of a sudden nearly all the features are grey'd out and when I select them (try to) I get a message noting "locked by the person who set up...". Well, as with other posts, I, the owner certainly did not lock anything. I cannot even select the 'Restore" as it is also grey'd out. Please help!!
