HP ENVY Photo 7155
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer had working fine for about 8 months, but now the printer screen on my HP ENVY Photo 7155 will light up with a loading bar and some dots below it. But it freezes with all of the dots empty and the bar full. It's been like that for 3 whole days and you can't power cycle it. I couldn't find any answers online or in the forums so I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in hoping it would change something. It didn't, the screen starts loading until it gets to the same spot before freezing again. While on my computer I found it still says that the printer is offline.  I have had unplugged for a few days and tried the troubleshooter, nothing works! There was a similiar thread, but he got his working after a day.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Please try the below mentioned steps that should resolve the issue.

  1. While the printer is ON, remove the ink cartridges.
  2. While the printer is ON, unplug the power cord from back of the printer.
  3. Power Off the Wireless Router.
  4. Wait for 60 seconds.
  5. Plug in the power cord to back of the printer.
  6. Install cartridges when prompted.
  7. If issue still exists, go to Step# 11
  8. Now Power ON, the Wifi Router.
  9. Try printing a document.
  10. If issue still persists, contact ISP to check for any Firmware update for wifi router.
  11. If issue still persists, its a printer hardware failure. You may contact HP Tech Support for further assistance .  https://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/contact.html

It got stuck again on #5 and never asked for the cartridges. Looks like I’ll  have to follow step #11.

Thank you for the suggestions.
