My printer was idle for 5 months. Now i am getting fuser error. I turned it on and-off several times, but no change. Any ideas please? Thank you

50.2 indicates that the fuser is not heating to correct temperature fast enough. This may mean that the heating element is damaged or it may simply mean the electrical supply is not sufficient. I would try plugging into a different circuit in the house or office and also try a different power cord.

Do you get a numerical code? Is your printer plugged directly into the wall? Common cause of fuser errors is power starvation from plugging into either a surge protector or a Uninterruptible power supply (UPS)

Thank you for your reply. Error code is 50.2. I had the printer plugged into a surge protector for five months while it was idle. It is plugged into a wall now.

I plugged it to a different outlet. Now I get the fuser error without even trying to print. I do not have another cord so I could not try that. Thanks
