Hp 2700 printer

I just tried to print something but I can't - it has 3 flashing orange lights  (one beside the i, one beside what looks like a sheet of paper with one of the corners turned in and a downwards arrow on it, and one beside 3 coloured dots under the display.

On the display it has a small e and a capital E as well as other things I can't make out because it's flashing so fast.

Can anyone please help me find out whats wrong and how to fix it?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting an E error on the printer, I am glad to assist you.

Perform a power reset, Reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.
