Help!

Two days ago my printer stopped printing my text documents. I have run a nozzle check and associated cleans which do not show a problem. The test pages print okay. The printer is connected wirelessly and the IP address is recognised by my PC okay. I have updated drivers. All to no avail.

Printing an excel sheet with text and text within text boxes, the only thing that actually prints is the outline of the text box.

Does anyone have any clues as to what is going on?

Seems that the diagnostic page is not printing fully so I have run a two stage clean, with no effect. I have now ordered more cartidges to see if that is the issue. Although the system suggests there is sufficient ink in them maybe new ones will resolve the issue.

Hi @Skyeman1,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!

Your HP OfficJet 3830 AiO Printer stopped printing text, correct? In order to help you, I'll need to know a bit more.

You wrote that you ran a nozzle check. Does that mean you ran an automatic cleaning from the printer control panel or did you clean the nozzles manually? When did you print a Print Quality Diagnostic page, before or after you cleaned the nozzles?

An automated clean then the print check which looked okay.

Hi @Skyeman1,

Go to Fixing Print Quality Issues > Step 13, follow the on-screen instructions to manually clean the nozzles, and try to print a text document.

Let me know if that works.
