Hi @NancyDF,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To resolve an error mode on your HP DeskJet 3755 printer, you can follow these steps:
Check the Printer Display/Control Panel: If there's an error message or code showing on the printer’s display, note it down. You can refer to the printer's manual or HP's online support for specific error codes and their solutions.
Restart the Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on. This can reset the system and clear some errors.
Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer and look for any jammed paper. If you find any, gently remove it without tearing. Make sure to check all possible areas where paper can get stuck.
Check Ink or Toner Cartridges: Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed and not empty. Replace any cartridges that are low or empty. Ensure there are no protective tapes on the nozzles of new cartridges.
Ensure Proper Connection: Verify that the printer’s cable connections are secure. If you’re using a wireless connection, ensure the printer is properly connected to your wireless network.
Update Printer Drivers and Firmware: Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers and firmware for your printer model. This can resolve software-related issues that might cause the printer to go into error mode.
Clear the Print Queue: Sometimes a stuck print job can cause issues. Clear the print queue by going to your computer's control panel, finding your printer under "Devices and Printers," right-clicking it, and selecting "See what's printing." From there, you can cancel all documents.
Reset the Printer: For a deeper reset, turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait a couple of minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on. This can clear more persistent errors.
Check for Software Conflicts: Ensure that there are no conflicts between your printer software and the system software on your computer. This might involve reinstalling the HP printer software.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
