HP Envy 6052 is flashing E.  I turned it off and restarted, and unplugged cord as suggested but after turning it back on, it is still flashing E

I understand you are getting the E error code on your HP ENVY 6052 All-In-One Printer typically indicates a general error that can be caused by various issues. 

 

Here are a few steps to try and resolve this issue:

 

Check for Jams:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the printer and carefully check for any paper jams or foreign objects inside. Remove any you find.

Reset the Printer:

  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the printer and turn it on.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed. Open the printer and reseat the cartridges.
  • If you have spare cartridges, try replacing them to see if the error clears.

Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up to date. You can do this through the HP Smart app on your Windows 11 computer.

Printer Maintenance:

  • Clean the printhead and the ink cartridge contacts.
  • Use the printer’s built-in cleaning functions if available.

Reinstall the Printer Software:

  • Sometimes, reinstalling the printer software can help. Uninstall the HP printer software from your computer, restart the computer and then reinstall the latest version of the software from the HP website.

Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your network if it's a wireless connection issue. Reset your network settings on the printer and reconnect to your Wi-Fi.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the power source and the printer.
