Hello - My printer is connected to WiFi but when I try and print it says "printer is not responding." I have restarted the printer, disconnected/reconnected my laptop to WiFi, and restarted my router but the error message is still there and I cannot print.

Hi @Allison1012,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To troubleshoot the "printer is not responding" issue with your HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer, here are some steps you can follow.
Check Printer Status:
- Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your laptop.
- Ensure there are no error messages on the printer's display or flashing lights indicating issues.
Check Printer Queue:
- On your laptop, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers (on Windows) or System Preferences > Printers & Scanners (on macOS).
- Right-click (or click) on the printer and select See What's Printing.
- If there are any documents stuck in the print queue, cancel them.
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Go to Devices and Printers on Windows or Printers & Scanners on macOS.
- Remove your HP ENVY 5055 printer.
- Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer.
- Install the drivers and reconnect the printer to your network.
Reset Printer Network Settings:
- On your HP ENVY 5055, reset the network settings:
- On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button and then the Information button (or refer to the manual for the specific procedure for your model).
- This will print a network configuration page that includes the printer's current IP address.
- After resetting, reconnect the printer to the Wi-Fi network using the new settings.
Check IP Address:
- Make sure the printer’s IP address has not changed. Check the network configuration page you printed and verify it matches the one listed in your printer settings on your laptop.
- If the printer's IP has changed, update it in the printer settings on your laptop.
Run the Printer Troubleshooter (Windows):
- On your Windows laptop, go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Printer.
- Run the troubleshooter and follow the prompts.

Check Router Settings:
- Some routers may block printer connections due to firewall or security settings. Make sure the router isn’t blocking communication between your laptop and the printer.
Reboot Devices:
- After performing the above steps, reboot your laptop, router, and printer to ensure fresh connections.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
