Hi @Cornelis3,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Smart Tank Wireless 455 printer is printing different colors from those on the screen, there are a few potential causes for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

  • Check ink levels: Ensure that all ink cartridges in the printer have sufficient ink levels. If any of the cartridges are low or empty, replace them with new ones. Incorrect colors can occur if the printer is running low on a particular ink color.
  • Perform a printhead alignment: Misaligned printheads can cause color discrepancies. Most printers have a built-in printhead alignment feature that you can access through the printer settings or control panel. Follow the instructions provided by HP to align the printheads properly.
  • Calibrate the printer: Some printers offer a calibration option to adjust color settings. Look for the printer's calibration utility in the printer settings or software and run it to ensure accurate color reproduction.
  • Update printer drivers: Outdated or incompatible printer drivers can lead to color inconsistencies. Visit the HP support website and check if there are any updated printer drivers available for your specific model. Download and install the latest drivers on your computer.
  • Use color management settings: Check your computer's color management settings and ensure they are properly configured. Different operating systems and software may have different settings, so consult the respective user guides or online resources for instructions on adjusting color management.
  • Check monitor calibration: Verify that your computer monitor is correctly calibrated. If your monitor's color settings are inaccurate, it can affect the perceived colors. You can use display calibration tools or software to adjust and calibrate your monitor.
  • Test with different applications: Try printing from different applications or software to see if the issue persists. Sometimes, specific applications or file formats may cause color discrepancies. If the problem only occurs with a particular software, you may need to investigate its settings or consult the software's support resources.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
