Hi @jwdreslin,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Oh no, that sounds incredibly frustrating. Imagine sitting down to print a simple document and suddenly your printer decides to take a walk down memory lane, spewing out years of forgotten print jobs! Let's get this sorted out gently and thoroughly.

This issue usually happens when the printer’s memory or macOS print queue gets stuck or corrupted. Here's a calm and effective way to stop the flood and reset things:

Step-by-Step: Reset the Printing System on macOS 14 (Tahoe)

  1. Open Printers & Scanners:
    • Click the Spotlight icon (🔍 top-right corner of your screen).
    • Type Printers & Scanners and press Enter.

  2. Reset the Printing System:
    • In the Printers list, right-click (or Control + click) anywhere in the blank space.
    • Select Reset printing system.
    • Confirm when prompted. This will remove all printers, clear all print jobs, and reset saved settings.

  3. Restart Your Printer:
    • Power off your printer.
    • Wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

  4. Re-add Your Printer:
    • Go back to Printers & Scanners.
    • Click the Add (+) button.
    • Select your printer from the list and click Add.
