My printer will only produce blank pages whether printing from the black or the colour cartridges. HP Support Assistant cannot resolve the issue. It is not a cleaning problem because I can print a perfect test page directly from the printer. I decided to remove the black cartridge as the level was low, but printing in greyscale produced the same result (there is plenty of ink in the colour cartridge). I have tried uncoupling from the mains socket for a while, but it made no difference. ( I did this with the printer switched off and the lead removed from the back, as suggested elsewhere). I have also installed new software, to no effect. Any suggestions, please?

Thank you for reaching out to the HP Support community!
Please provide the below information to assist you with an accurate resolution.
- What happens when you try to make a copy? Does it print ok?
- What are the ink levels on the cartridges?
- Is the printer connected over the Wireless or is it Wired?
If you can print a test page ok and if the copy is fine then it could be an issue with the printer drivers installed.
Let's try to remove and re-install the printer driver. This may fix the issue.
- In Windows, search for 'Control Panel' and open 'Programs' or 'Programs and features' and select 'Uninstall a Program'.
- Select your HP Printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for 'Control Panel' and look for 'View devices and printers'option under 'Hardware and Sound'.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'.
- Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
- Click on the "Drivers" tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select Ok.
- Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
- Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
- Restart the computer.
- Download the printer driver and install it from this link or manually search for drivers from https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/printers.
- Open the downloaded file, follow onscreen instructions and complete installation
- Try printing from your PC again and check if you can print.
- If the issue persists, proceed to the next step
Check the Print Settings
In the software application, you are trying to print from, click File, and then click Print.
The Print window opens.
Open the Properties dialog box.
Check the printing preferences for Black and White printing/ Grayscale. Make sure this feature is disabled.
After selecting the print settings, click OK to apply the settings, and then click Print.
Let me know what happens.
