I keep trying to print from my phone but it says that the printer is busy when there is only my document in the queue. When I go to the app, it says it’s asleep. Still, when I try to print something it doesn’t print. It will say it’s out of paper even though there is paper in there. I give up!

Hi @Tilahy,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having a frustrating experience with your HP OfficeJet 3830. Let's try to tackle the issues one by one:
Printer Showing as Busy:
- Ensure that there are no other print jobs stuck in the queue. Go to the printer's control panel and clear any pending jobs.
- Restart both your phone and the printer. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
Printer Appears to Be Asleep:
- Make sure the printer is properly connected to your WiFi network. You might need to reconfigure the network settings if the connection is unstable.
- Check the printer's power settings. Sometimes, printers have sleep modes that might be set too aggressively.
Out of Paper Error:
- Check if the paper is correctly loaded in the tray and that the tray is fully inserted into the printer.
- Ensure that there are no obstructions or paper jams inside the printer.
- Clean the paper feed rollers to remove any dust or debris that might be causing issues.
