HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer

Printer says paper jam however when I check there is no paper stuck. Also if/when it does print the ink is barely there

Here are some steps to resolve the paper jam and printing issues with your HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer:

 

Resolving the Paper Jam Error

Check All Paper Paths:

  • Open the main paper tray, rear access panel, and any other accessible areas.
  • Inspect for torn bits of paper, debris, or foreign objects.
  • Use a flashlight to check hidden areas for any obstructions.

Clean the Rollers:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Locate the paper feed rollers and gently clean them with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water. This helps remove dust or residue that could cause misfeeds.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn the printer off, unplug it from the power source, and wait for 1-2 minutes.
  • Plug it back in, turn it on, and check if the error persists.

Check the Paper Stack:

  • Ensure the paper is loaded correctly, is not bent or curled, and is within the recommended type and weight for the printer.
  • Avoid overloading the paper tray.

Resolving Faint Printing

Check Ink Levels:

  • On the printer control panel, go to Settings > Ink Levels.
  • Replace any low or empty cartridges with genuine HP cartridges.

Clean the Printhead:

  • On the control panel, go to Settings > Tools > Clean Printhead.
  • This will run an automatic cleaning process to resolve clogged nozzles.

Perform a Print Quality Diagnostic:

  • From Tools, select Print Quality Report.
  • Check for streaks, faded colors, or alignment issues.

Manually Clean the Printhead:

  • If the automatic cleaning doesn't help, remove the printhead and clean it manually with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water. Avoid touching the nozzles directly.

Adjust Print Settings:

  • When printing, choose Best or Normal print quality from the print dialog box.
  • Ensure the correct paper type is selected in the settings.

Test the Printer

  • Run a test page after each step to check if the issues are resolved.
  • If the problem persists, update the printer firmware via the HP Smart app or the printer’s support page.
