Hello,

After installing new cartridges and preforming printhead cleaning several times, my printers keeps printing black background behind pictures and objects in documents. These come out as black boxes where there shouldn't be any background at all. This happens in MS Word and PDF documents. I'll be glad for a solution.

Thanks.

Let's start by updating the Printer firmware. You can refer to this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

Next print a Quality Diagnostic Page and let me know if you face the same issue

  1. Load plain white paper in the input tray.

  2. From the printer control panel, open the Setup  menu.

  3. Open the Reports or Tools menu.

  4. Touch Print Quality Report.

A Print Quality Diagnostic Page prints.

Hi,

Thank you for your help. The printer's firmware is updated, according to the quality diagnostic page everything is fine but still I have the same problem. This doesn't happen with every page I print, so I don't know what could be the cause for this.

I'm attaching a picture of the problem for reference.

Which application are you using to print?

Have you tried printing different documents like PDF, Word or Webpages and check if the issue persists?

Keep me posted.
