Help please! My printer (HP ENVY 5000 Series) keeps printing my documents two-sided. I have already turned off this option in adobe acrobat reader (where I usually print my documents) and on the printer itself. However, it still does the opposite! The tiny screen on the printer always says something like "ink is drying please wait" before it proceeds to print on the other side of the paper!! it's driving me crazy pls help

@kawaiikkp, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Have you tried printing different types of documents like Word or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
When you set up a duplex printing job, the settings might carry over to the next print job. Additionally, some HP printers come with duplex printing set as the default. To change back to one-sided printing, turn off the duplex setting in the print window.
Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:
Update the printer firmware
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Also, check for any software updates on MAC
Check the print settings on MAC
- Open the document you want to print, click File, click Print, and then click Show Details, if necessary.
-
Look for a Two-Sided option in the print dialog.
-
-
Uncheck 2 sided option
-
Click Layout in the unnamed print options menu, select a binding option from the Two-Sided menu, and then click Print.
-
Select Off
-
Try printing.
To preserve duplex or one-sided settings for future print jobs, complete the print job with the desired settings, click the Presets menu, select Save Current Settings as Preset, and then give the preset a name such as One-Sided Documents.
Let me know how this goes.
