Printer starts to pritn but stops after the first few lines amd ejects paper. Error message "print failed". Printer re-starts with a fresh sheet of paper. This sometimes happens five or six times before it prints properly (wasting ink, paper, my time and my patience).
This has only started to happen iun the last few days following an automatic update which took effect last week.
Can I go back to previous settings (if that's what has caused the problem) and if so, how? Is this a known issue and if so, are HP doing anything to put it right?

@MitB Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that the Printer keeps stopping in the middle of a print run.
Is it happen while making the photocopy?
Please perform the hard reset and check.
-
Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
-
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
-
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
-
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
-
Wait at least 60 seconds.
-
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
-
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
-
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
-
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed
Please update the firmware and check.
