Microsoft Windows 11

I have a HP ENVY Pro 6400 series, great all in one printer. However, the last month I will print a document and it will stop mid-printing (so stop at page 20 out of 30) and then will randomly start printing again (but from the beginning versus continuing to print from where it stopped). On a few occasions, and tonight in particular I come back to a second copy of a document I only requested 1 copy of, both incomplete and I stopped the second copy being printed once I noticed! Since I get charged pages per month, this is frustrating as I go over my allowance owing to this glitch. I shouldn't have to sit there and 'monitor' the printer to ensure to fully prints a document and doesn't restart mid-way through. Any help in resolving this glitch and reimbursement of unused/unrequested printing would be appreciated. Many thanks, Jessica

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

The job is perhaps running into a resource problem -- memory, bandwidth, "something".

Instead of trying to print all the pages at one time,

Consider using the Page Range feature

Print part of the document in one job

Repeat - New Job > Print part of the document.

Repeat until all page sets are complete.

Simple Example - Word document - File > Print > main menu - Duplex and "Pages" set to 1-4

Word_Print_Pages_1-4_Duplex_1Word_Print_Pages_1-4_Duplex_1

General Example - Adobe Reader DC - PDF print - Main Menu / Properties

Pages to Print = All / Current / Pages -- Enter range / pages to print, for example 1-4,6,8

PDF_Reader_Main_Menu_Border_3PDF_Reader_Main_Menu_Border_3

Example - HP Smart > Smart Printing Driver > Simple PDF Print

HP_Smart_Win_Smart_Printing_PDF_3
