Hello. So yesterday my computer said I needed black ink to keep printing. I checked and it said only black was out . So I went today and purchased. Then I got home and installed. Then it said yellow out . So I checked again and others said not out. So I went back and got yellow. When I installed the other 2 said they had ink but low could replace later. Then when I tried to print it said they had to be replaced. I only need black white so how do I put in black/white only.

Hi @Shop1braz,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're having some trouble with your HP printer and its ink cartridges. Here's what you can do to ensure your printer only uses black ink for printing.
- Printer Settings: Check your printer settings on your computer. Most printers have an option to print using only black ink. This setting is typically found in the printer properties or preferences section when you go to print a document. Look for an option like "Black and White" or "Grayscale" and select it.
- Printer Display: Some printers have a control panel or display where you can adjust settings directly on the printer. Check if your printer has a menu option to select black and white printing. Navigate through the menu until you find the appropriate setting.
- Remove Color Cartridges (Optional): If your printer still insists on having all ink cartridges installed even for black and white printing, you may need to remove the color cartridges. Keep in mind that some printers may not function properly if any cartridge slots are left empty. Refer to your printer's manual for guidance on this.
By adjusting the settings or removing unnecessary color cartridges, you should be able to print in black and white without any further issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
