When i send say 30 pages to print, it will print out 4 or 5 pages, then will stop, spit out a half printed page. Instead of reprinting that page and then continuing, it goes back and reprints the first 4 or 5 pages again.  Does the same with double sided printing, does the first page, thenstarts to print on the second side, then just stops and spits out a half printed page. New printer, barely 3 months old, only using HP ink . hp smart tank 7305

Hi @Sam-W1972

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It appears that you may be facing issues with incomplete print jobs and reprinting pages on your HP Smart Tank 7305 printer. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve these printing problems:

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network.
  • If using a USB connection, try using a different USB cable and port.
  • If using Wi-Fi, ensure the network signal is stable.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Update Firmware:

  • Ensure the printer's firmware is up-to-date. You can check for firmware updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.

Check for Print Queue Problems:

  • Clear the print queue on your computer to ensure that no corrupt print jobs are causing the issue.
  • Restart your computer and try printing again.

Check Ink Levels:

  • Verify that the ink levels are adequate and the ink tanks are properly installed.
  • Refill any ink tanks that are low.

Printer Software Update:

  • Ensure you have the latest printer software and drivers installed on your computer. You can download them from the HP website.

Perform Printer Maintenance:

  • Use the HP Smart app or printer settings to run any available maintenance tasks, such as print head cleaning or alignment.

Check for Any Error Messages:

  • Look for any error messages on the printer’s display panel and follow the provided instructions to resolve them.

Printer Settings:

  • Verify that the printer settings match the type of document you are printing (e.g., double-sided printing settings).
