Hello,

My printer hasn’t been working. When I select a document to get printed, the page comes out almost blank with some trace of black. I thought my ink was done so I bought new ink and it is still doing the same thing for some reasons any recommendation on what I should do from here.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting print quality issues, I am glad to assist you.

Did you make a copy and check if that prints fine?

Meanwhile:-

Run a Print Quality Diagnostic report

Printhead cleaning is the most effective solution for unsatisfactory prints, especially streaky or missing black or colors. Use a Print Quality Diagnostic report to check if the printhead needs to be cleaned or if there is an ink cartridge alignment issue.

Load plain white paper in the tray.

On the printer, touch Settings, touch Tools, and then touch Print Quality Report.

If there are defects in the color bars, clean the printhead. Touch Settings, touch Tools, and then touch Clean Printhead. If print quality is unacceptable on the page that prints, touch Clean Again to perform a second cleaning.
