Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP LaserJetPro M401dn printer running under = Windows 11 v 10.0.22621. The printer is not printing from some of my applications, namely FileMaker and IrfranView (a program for viewing and printing jpeg files). The print jobs go to the printer que but do not print. There may be other apps but I haven’t yet checked them all.
Microsoft Office and PDF documents print with no problem.

To make matters worse, the printer frequently goes off line and I have to turn the printer off, disconnect the power and then reboot the computer.

I'm not sure where to go to fix these problems.
