Hi @Janr40

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer is not printing and you're receiving a message about checking your HP account, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Check HP Account Status:

  • Log into your HP account at the HP Instant Ink website (if applicable) to ensure your account is active and there are no issues with your subscription or payment method.

Inspect Ink Levels:

  • Make sure that your ink cartridges have enough ink. If you’re enrolled in Instant Ink, check if you’ve received your replacement cartridges if needed.

Restart Printer and Computer:

  • Turn off your printer and computer. Wait for a minute, then turn them back on. This can sometimes clear temporary issues.

Check Printer Connections:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network (if wireless) or that the USB cable is securely connected (if wired).

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor. This tool can diagnose and fix many printing issues.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed. Visit the HP Support website to download the latest drivers for your printer model.

Clear Print Queue:

  • Go to Devices and Printers (in Windows) or Printers & Scanners (in macOS) and clear any stuck print jobs in the queue.

Check Printer Settings:

  • In the print dialog, ensure the correct printer is selected and that there are no incorrect settings that could prevent printing.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
