HP envy 5546
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

New Envy5546 Printer, have loaded 6x4 (10 x 15cm) glossy photo paper that came with this printer and I can't get a photo printed on it.  Have emptied tray of all the A4 paper as suggested on you tube, have the photo paper tray loaded, have followed step by step but printing just not happening and I keep getting told paper try is empty even tho there is photo paper loaded in the correct tray.  If I put A4 paper in tray then the photo I'm trying to print comes out on this.  Only got this printer today and am so disappointed as I wanted to get a few photo's printed this evening.  Now looking online I can see this seems to be happening to others with HP envy various models and I was unaware of this.

Hey there! @cazzaf, Welcome to HP forum.

I understand you have issues printing 4x6 from your printer and you are getting error conflict with another printer.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Have you tried printing using a different brand paper?

Have you tried printing from a different application?

Does the issue persist when you make a copy from your printer?

I have checked the printer specifications and your printer should support printing 4x6.

Try few steps recommended below.

Right-click the photo that you want to print, and then click Print, or click Open with, click Windows Photo Viewer, and then click Print.
From the drop-down menus above the photo, select your printer, paper size, and print quality. For the Paper, type select HP Photo Papers and then click Options.
In the Print Settings window, click Printer Properties.
   NOTE:
Changing some settings makes them the default settings for all print jobs. You might need to manually change the some of the following settings if you change paper type or size, or if you are printing documents. Make sure to select the appropriate paper tray.
On the Paper/Quality tab, select Photo Tray or regular tray from the Paper Source drop-down menu, and then click Advanced.
In the Advanced Options window, select 10×15cm/4×6in. in the Paper Size drop-down menu, and then click OK.
In the Document Properties window, click OK.
In the Print Pictures window, click Print.

If the issue still persists try uninstalling the printer software from root level on your PC and install the full feature printer software.

In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.

Select your HP printer.

Select Uninstall.

In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.

In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”

Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.

Type printui.exe /s and click OK.

Click on Drivers tab.

Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.

Select OK.

Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

Close Devices and Printers.

Update the full feature printer software using this link.
