You are welcome!
Well, the D110 is an old printer.
The printer software is old (circa 2012).
I suspect that the printer software is not entirely compatible with the newer Windows 10 File System (Windows instructions, drivers, libraries, even registry entries).
At some point, regardless of all esle, the printer software will likely fail to keep up with the changes in the rest of the Operating System.
The "update" may have highlighted the differences that are becoming more apparent "under the surface". (Personal opinion.)
Happy New Year 2019 !

Try / Consider
Make sure "web services" (on the printer control panel) is disabled. Web services no longer works on this printer.
HP Printers - Web Services Stop Working
Uninstall printer software > Restart > install fresh copy of the software > Restart
Hint: For best results, do not ignore the suggested Restart sequences.
Printer Software – Uninstall Existing Software
If the software is already installed and you want (need) to uninstall it:
Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features >
Scroll down, click, and Uninstall the software
After the software is removed, Restart the computer and log in
If printer software will not uninstall, appears to be removed and then shows up again, or is otherwise not “going away” when you tell it to do so, try an Uninstaller program.

Printer Software – Lurking in the Device Manager
After uninstalling the software and the computer Restart, if the printer is still lurking about in the Device Manager, remove it.
Control Panel > icon view > Device Manager
Expand category Printers
If any printer name or “Unknown Device” is listed,
Right-Click on the printer / device > Uninstall
Expand category Imaging Devices
If any printer name or “Unknown Device” is listed,
Right-Click on the printer / device > Uninstall
Restart the computer and log in
Printer Software - Installation
NOTE
- If using USB, disconnect the USB cable between the printer and the computer before starting the installation.
- Connect the cable when instructed to do so (toward the end of the installation procedure).
Download, save, and install the Full Feature Software for your Operating System version
After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in

My printer is now working...so thanks again for your help. It isn't perfect but it works most of the time. I occasionally have an issue where my Quicken checks don't seem to be getting sent to the queue....but if I send them a second time they are usually there. Not sure what the issue is....I just wish I had never done the update...everything was just fine before that.....

Are you knowledgable about laptops also? I just purchased an HP17-by0xxx and love it....except for one problem. It constantly has trouble keeping connected with the internet. When I try to go to a website, it very frequently can't find it even though I am connected and sites I am connected to already are having no problems. So I run the Windows Diagnostics (sometimes 15-20 times per day) and it gives me two different messages depending on its mood...1)Default gateway not found and 2) Wifi adapter not working. Then it fixes them and it goes right to the website....until the next time it does it again. I went to the HP site and ran the corrective procedures but it made no change. Do you have any ideas how to resolve/repair this for good? Thanks for sharing your knowledge....

Happy 2019!
Best to start a new Post for your question.
If you would do so, please start a new thread for your separate subject. Launching into an unrelated discussion (here)means that you won't get any but my attention (not great since we have Experts equal and far more knowledgeable than I). Even if you updated the subject line and hardware information, any future posts on the subject would be buried here in the printer section.
Tips for an Excellent Question
Please provide the exact Operating System / version and the precise model of your computer. Doing so makes it easier for whomever answers to use that information to better identify your system build. Why? Any missing nformation means that someone has to ask for clarification - on some days this is enough that your question could be passed by. (Yes, it happens. Experts move quickly and there are hundreds of requests each day. It is inevitable that we sometimes favor the more precise.)
Example, looking for HP17 Results:
Sorry, no results match your search for "HP17-by0xxx"
If your machine is indeed a CTO (Custom to Order), indicate relevant hardware, for example, query the Device Manager for the exact Wireless information.
Device Manager > Open category Network adapters >
Right-Click on your Wireless device > Properties >
tab Details >
In section Property > Select Hardware Ids
NOTE
Network adatpers provides name(s) of devices
Hardware IDs provides the precise device Identifier
