Hi @Jesseca99,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code 62.80.13 on your HP OfficeJet 8028 printer indicates a problem with the printhead. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue.
Restart the Printer
- Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.
Check the Printhead and Cartridges
- Open the printer cover and wait for the printhead to stop moving.
- Carefully remove the ink cartridges.
- Check for any debris, dried ink, or damage on the printhead and cartridges.
- Clean the contacts on the printhead and the cartridges with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
- Reinsert the cartridges and ensure they are seated correctly.
Perform a Printhead Cleaning
- From the printer's control panel, navigate to the printer maintenance or settings menu.
- Look for an option to clean the printhead and follow the on-screen instructions.
Update Printer Firmware
- Ensure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. Visit the HP Support website to check for firmware updates for your printer model.
Reset the Printer
- With the printer on, unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds before plugging the power cord back into the printer and the wall outlet.
- Turn the printer back on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
