My HP Office JetPro 6978 is only printing black and yellow. The cartridges are full, new and genuine HP cartridges. I tried printing from multiple computers and all had the same issue. I tried unplugging the printer and reinstalling the cartridges, but it did not work.

Hi @Harry688
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the "print quality" issue.
To better assist you -
1) Does the copy come out the same way?
While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -
-
Load plain white paper in the input tray.
-
From the printer control panel, open the Setup menu.
-
Open the Reports or Tools menu.
-
Touch Print Quality Report.
Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.
You may also refer to this document with steps to fix " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable for your printer - Print Quality Issues
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

If you have tried the steps and the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
Keep us posted for any other assistance.
