- Have you tried making standalone Black/color copies and check if that works fine?
Step 1: Clean the printhead
-
From the printer control panel, open the Setup
menu. -
Open the Printer Maintenance menu.
-
If necessary, open the Tools menu, and then touch Clean Printhead.
A test page prints.
-
Examine the test page.
-
If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Clean Again to continue the next level of cleaning.

Step 2: Perform steps 7 and 9 from this document
Step 3: Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your computer.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
