My printer works fine when printing except for one time. Anytime I am printing a photo or a document that was attached to my gmail (accessed via gmail account not any software like Outlook Express), the printer only prints half of the page. It doesn't matter if it's multiple pages, one page, or one photo, only half comes out. What am I doing wrong? How do I fix it?

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that your HP Officejet 4500 printer does not print attachments from the email. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

  • When did this issue start?
  • Did you do any hardware or software changes?
  • How is the printer connected to computer, wired or wireless?
  • Which operating system is installed on the computer?
  • Which browser are you using to login to gmail account?

Meanwhile:

Try to print from a different browser like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome.

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Reply with the result of the above-mentioned steps, for further assistance.

Cheers.
