The printer keeps printing from previous jobs done from a connected iPhone. It tries to print even when I turn off the network connectivity. I have tried a factory reset, and once the printer is back on, it keeps printing. I've also checked the queues of my devices and they are empty. Is there a hard reset I can do to completely erase what's in the printer as the problem seems to be the printer itself?
Thank you!!

@paulo0, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Yes! Since you've already tried a factory reset and the issue persists, it’s possible that the print jobs are stuck in the printer's internal memory rather than in a device queue. A hard reset should help completely clear any stored jobs.
Steps for a Hard Reset on the HP OfficeJet 3830:
1. Turn Off the Printer – Press the power button to turn off the printer.
2. Unplug the Power Cord – Disconnect the power cable from both the printer and the wall outlet.
3. Remove Any USB or Network Connections – If connected via USB or Wi-Fi, disconnect all cables.
4. Perform a Hard Reset:
With the printer unplugged, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds to discharge any residual power.
5. Replug the Printer – Connect the power cable directly to the wall (avoid surge protectors).
6. Turn On the Printer – Power it on and wait for it to boot completely.
7. Check for Stuck Jobs – Before reconnecting to the network, go to the printer’s menu:
Tap Setup > Tools > Cancel All Print Jobs (if available).
8. Reconnect to the Network – Once the printer is idle, reconnect to Wi-Fi and check if the issue persists.
Additional Step: Reinstall the Printer
Since iOS devices sometimes keep a memory of printers, try removing the printer from your iPhone:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Wi-Fi and "Forget" the printer.
- Remove the printer from AirPrint printers list (under Settings > Printers & Scanners).
- Restart your iPhone and re-add the printer.
Also, try updating the firmware!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
