I have been trying to find out how to get my printer to stop printing jobs that I did not authorize. I checked the queue and there is nothing scheduled. This started approximately 7 days ago and I still do not know what is causing this. No one knows my hpe email address nor any other personal information concerning my computer or printer. I went to the Security section of my printer and it is saying that "everybody" has permissions. I have never given permission for everybody to print from my printer. There are also two lists of numbers that is stating that they are permitted to print and manage documents but, I did not give this permission. My aol email but not my email for HP nor is there an hpe email listed in permissions.
How can this happen? And what do I do. When I posed this question 7 days ago one member of this forum said that my printer will not print unless I tell it to. But I have not done this. What is printed everyday at 9 am are ads from Zulilly.com.
Please help me!

I am not sure if this might help.
Go to control panel network and sharing and turn off file and printer sharing.
Hope this might help.

I think this might work. I have been doing some investigating and I went to Network and File Sharing. The question I was getting ready to ask was should "turn on file and printer sharing" be checked? Well it was and I am now going to try turning it off to see if this helps.
Thank You. I will get back.

I went to the Network and Sharing settings and turned off file and printer sharing. In addition to that I also unchecked everyone (but myself, administrator, and computer owner) from permissions and now cannot get my printer to work. It is telling me that my HP OfficeJet Pro 6960 PCL-3 (network;s) driver is unavailable. And access is denied when I try to check status, preferences, etc. How can I go back? Should I do a system reset and go back to the time before I made my changes? I know that you only told me to turn off file and printer sharing but I did more. Please help me? I am so frustrated because I started having all of these problems, I never gave anyone permission to print from my computer.

Thank you soooo much! Your advice worked. At first I did more than you told me to and disenabled my printer. But I uninstalled and reinstalled my printer in order to be able to have access to Network and Sharing because when I did not follow your words exacrtly - I lost access to my printer. Now everything works. No more printing at 9 am in the morning. I also wanted to add...I went online and did a little more research and found a way to find out if someone is hacking into my wireless and how to stop them. It is on You Tube. I haven't tried it yet but I am going to and when I do I will let everyone know. Thanks again!

I hate to bother you with this issue again. But after I sent my previous message of thanks to you, I tried to print something from my printer. My printer was offline so I went to HP Smart Friend and followed the instructions. As soon as my printer came online again, the bandit pages started printing again without my authorization. I am going to see if I can use this app I found out about and see if and who is hacking my printer. I WILL get back. Again, thanks for all your help.

Sorry to hear that. The other option would be to change the printers IP settings. This way if someone has the ip address of the printer woun't be able to print to your printer anymore.Hope this will help.

Thanks again Copier Plus, your resolution of my issue worked. I would like to give you another issue resolved kudo, but there is no place to give you another one. Without your initial advice to turn off sharing on my network, youradditional advice would not have worked. . Not only that, if you had not led me in the right direction I would not have learned even more.
Thanks you so very much!
