HP Deskjet 2545
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Deskjet 2445. When it prints, it prints too much too the left of the A4 paper. So there is very little margin on the side of the paper and quite a big margin on the right. It happens in powerpoint but also in pdf. As you can see in the pictures, the ' print preview' in powerpoint looks good, but when it is printed, the left side is much closer to the edge of the paper then the right side. ('Afrdukken' = print in Dutch).

I tried many suggestions I found in this forum already: updated firmware and drivers, all paper settings are A4, I checked the box 'scale to papersize' in advanced settings, reset the printer. Als when printing a test report or diagnostic report, these seem to be printed very close to the left side of the paper.

I hope any of you can help me solve this problem! Thanks a lot in advance!

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips. Thank you for posting your query. I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

I see that you have already tried reinstalling the printer driver and updating the printer firmware and issue persists. Since the diagnostic report also has this defect, it looks like an alignment issue. To fix this issue, please try the steps below:

  •   Align the printer
  •   Clean the area around the ink nozzles

Hi Roopa-S, thanks a lot for your message! Unfortunately aligning did not solve the problem.

But I am one step further: when printing from pdf, instead of setting ' fit' I checked ' actual size' and then the page does print correctly. But in powerpoint there is not such a feature as far as i know.
