HP Envy Photo 6230
Printer randomly power cycles for no reason. Sometimes gets stuck in a constant loop of on/off
Power settings are set to go into sleep after 15 minutes and the power button is set to sleep only. I have reset the printer (power cord out while power on for 60 seconds) and done a reset via the menu on the printer all with no joy.
This is not a Windows 10 or computer issue as the computer is not even switched on when the power cycling occurs
I've tried to be as specific as possible as I've done all the basic diagnostics to save time
I'm not sure if I can link to content elsewhere to show you the issue... (please disregard background noise from TV at the time of filming)

Hi @DannyPark,
I'd like to help!
I understand the printer power cycles randomly.
Let's try a power reset on the printer
Reset the product
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Also, try updating the printer's firmware -HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
If the issue persists, Let's try resetting the printer
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
- In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I have tried the reset procudures a few times with no luck, I also reset the printer to default settings and also have updated the firmware all of which have not resolved the problem.
I have purchsed the printer as an ex-display item and has only printed 16 pages in it's lifetime

I perfomed a reset by defaulting the printer in the menu, however I've just had it out with the store I bought it from so will be returning as there seems to be no form reset that would work to make this printer reliable. I will however, be purchsing another HP printer very soon.
