Printer runs a blank page between every printed page.

I have a HP Photosmart C7280 All in One Printer.  I am using Windows 8, Whenever I print anything, it runs blank pages through before every printed page.  If I print 5 pages, then there are 5 blank pages also, one between every printed page.  Can you help?

So, Baumer, every other page is a blank sheet when you print, and this comes from any program you are using. Is that right? 

Well, I like to work from the general to the specific. So we are going to start on a level playing field by doing a complete uninstallation reinstallation. 

First if you use a USB cord, make sure to remove it. Do not plug it back in until the software directs you to. Then go through the Devices and Printers, Programs and Features and Device Manager folders and insure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. Then as directed, restart the computer. 

In the START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here I want you to press Ctrl+A and hit DELETE. Some of the files will not allow you to delete them, skip those files and delete the majority that allows it. 

Then follow this link to download the full feature software and drivers for the printer:

Install that and let me know the result!

Hi AlwaysNeon.

I am having the same problem with the Officejet Pro8600-911a. The only difference being that it kicks out a blank page every 3rd page. Will this same solution work on the 8600?

I am using windows 7-32 bit. Ant help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there.

We have a Photosmart 7280 on our home network.  It works fine with the Lenovo Win 7 laptop, but prints blank pages between each printed page coming from the HP Pavilion Windows 8.1 laptop.  Suggests that this is something to do with the windows 8 installation...

Have followed the instructions above - but no joy. Still producing blank pages.  Does anyone have any other ideas?
