Hi @Mamabear2916,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 is not printing from both a mobile device and a computer, there could be various reasons for this issue. Let's troubleshoot step by step.

Check Connectivity:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your mobile device and computer.
  • Make sure that there are no physical connectivity issues, such as loose or unplugged cables.

Restart Devices:

  • Try restarting your printer, computer, and mobile device. Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.

Printer Status:

  • Check the printer's display for any error messages or warnings. Resolve any issues indicated on the printer's screen.
  • Ensure that the printer has enough paper and ink or toner.

Driver and Software:

  • On your computer, verify that the correct printer driver is installed. You can download the latest driver from the HP website if needed.
  • Ensure that any printing software on your computer is not experiencing issues or errors.

Mobile Printing:

  • If you're trying to print from a mobile device, make sure you have the HP Smart app (or a compatible printing app) installed and set up correctly.
  • Ensure that your mobile device is also connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.

Firewall/Antivirus:

  • Sometimes, security software can block printing. Check your computer's firewall settings or antivirus software to make sure they are not blocking the printer.

Network Configuration:

  • If you recently changed your router or network settings, you may need to update the printer's Wi-Fi settings to match the new network configuration.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause printing problems.

Printer Queue:

  • On your computer, check the print queue to see if there are any pending print jobs. Clear any stuck or pending print jobs and try printing again.

Default Printer:

  • Make sure that your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 is set as the default printer on your computer.

Reinstall Printer:

  • If none of the above steps work, you may need to uninstall the printer from your computer and then reinstall it.

By systematically checking and addressing these potential issues, you should be able to identify and resolve the problem preventing your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 from printing from both your mobile device and computer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
