Product: HP DeskJet Plus 4155 All-in-One Printer

Until a few days ago, the printer was working just fine.  Nothing changed and now all of a sudden it says the printer is offline.  From the posts here, I see this is a common problem.  I spent over 6 hours yesterday with tech support that I thought was HP; turned out they were not.  They could not solve the problem.
