Printer scans but doesn't print anything

I was able to print documents from my PC as well as my laptop until suddenly now i'm only able to scan and print nothing.

Below are the things i have already tried:

- all types of trobleshoots

- tried wired (usb) as well as network installation of printer but both same result

- hp print n scan doctor

- removed and added printer many times

- uninstalled and installed drivers many times

- installed universal drivers of hp just in case it might work

after all of above and many hours wasted still the problem persists

after doing print and scan doctor i'm able to print test page but not able to print any work, pdf, etc files at all from any device.

After few hrs on reseach i tried printing text from notepad and it GOT PRINTED but i'm not able to print pdf or word files. I even got a pdf file printed from foxit software & also from IE but its not printing from adobe acrobat or word or excel.

please help

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. 

Here's the thing. The Print and Scan Doctor printed. You also printed from Notepad.  This means that the issue is not with the printer of the HP software but rather with the programs that you cant print from. Hopefully these links will help.

found the solution .. i was had to run all the software in "run in administor" m ode and it was printing .. what i did is to go to installation folder of the software example of word i went to microsoft installation folder and found winword.exe right clicked on it and went to compatibility tab and ticked option run in administrator mode. it printed after that.
