HP Officejet Pro 9010 series
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP officejet PRO 9010 series has a stuck screen. I changed the black cartridge and the screen that asks me to recycle the old cartridges is stuck on the screen. I can print from my computer, but can't use the screen. I have unplugged it rebooted it  many times and tried to find someone at HP to ask about the problem. Could not find a number.

I downloaded a support app, but they do not recognize my serial number.

I am having a somewhat similar problem.  I changed the cartridges with new ones that were sent by HP and I have had trouble printing ever since.  The power button is not working so I have to unplug the printer in order to restart.  I have a 3 minute where it may print, after that the lights goes out again.  This really sucks.

Hi @wegainor, @PrinterSucks2,

I'd like to help!

I understand your printer screen is frozen.

Try the below suggestions -

Reset the product

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Wait at least 60 seconds.

Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

Reconnect the power cord to the printer.

Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware -HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

If the issue persists, I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I was not able to resolve the problem with the steps you suggested.

I have however solved the problem by removing all of the ink cartridges and doing the electric cord procedure you suggested. I plugged in the cord and then reinstalled the cartridges. Problem solved.

I was never able to reach HP support by email or to get a phone number to call them.

Thank you.

Great suggestion ! It worked for me too. Once I took out the cartridges, put them back in and pugged in the printer it was back to normal. Thank you !
